Shramadana environmental cleanup [Daily News]

A shramadana was organised by the Central Camp Eastern Organisation for Democracy at Central Camp Colony 10 to clean the Salviniya weed spread all over the pond. A large number of villagers from all three communities who volunteered are engaged in their task (right). CASP’s Environmental Director David Boyce joined the volunteers in clearing the Salviniya (left). The highlight was the participation of a large number of women volunteers in the shramadana.
