CASP Potato Cultivation thrives despite floods

Potato cultivation undertaken by CASP (Canadian Agro-Sustainability Partnership) in the Ampara District has shown tremendous progress in spite of the recent floods in the area. An inspection tour was carried out by CASP's Manager of Agriculture Development, Dr. Zhiming Zheng. Here, Dr. Zhiming examines a potato plant which has developed with tubers shown by Potato Specialist M.I.M. Nazeer. Agriculture Deputy Director Ampara (Provincial) P. Uganathan, Agriculture Deputy Director, Nimal Dayaratna, Assistant Agriculture Director, A.R.A. Latheef, Research Officer, U.L. lqbal and CASP's Ampara Manager, I.R. Mirzaa were also present.
